The Birakthal valley is in the southwestern part of Narbuzad. It covers the area from the Sigin hills to north of Iragandul and west to Khunwrak.
In the south of the valley, travelers often hear the valley echoing with the beating of hammers against metal. Hence, outsiders often call it Hammer Echo, even though the area's real name is Birakthal. These sounds are normal, coming from hundreds of dwarven metal working yards across the Iragandul hills.
