Raganbirak

Raganbirak is a long "V" shaped mountain range stretching from the farmlands of Phanax to just south of Bokgruma where the foothills of the range border the Pearl Sea. During the Black Tide War (1465 - 1504), most of the region's refugees went into these mountains and onward into the Slafknara Forest. A staunch defense was made of every pass and valley. As a result, the Black Tide was never able to make a lasting claim on any land south of the mountain range. Behind a bulwark of fortresses and natural defenses, the remnants of Farinteen and other besieged peoples of the Sylvan Kingdoms peoples of the region were able to rebuild their forces and ultimately drive out the Black Tide in the Artery War (1546 - 1554).

Raganbirak has numerous chimera and griffons in its towering peaks. There are also vast numbers of mountain goats, sheep, deer, pigs, wild dogs. The rich source of food is the reason for the large humanoid population in the lowlands and in the mountains. Notable humanoid races in the area are goblins, orcs, trolls, Firbolg, hill and stone giants.
