Dragons Anchor is a forge deep beneath the city of Irthorn. The anvils and furnaces of this area were built by piles of iron, mithril, and adamantine that were leftover from the Demon Spawn War (8972 GE - 9493 GE). These were broken weapons and armor, and piles of those that had been melted down into great bars. Zeymah'kein artificers, those behind the building of the forge, detected a residual magic in these piles. They did not know it at the time, but these items were part of the Covenant's cleaning up after the war, disposing of demon equipment; and when possible removing from the Mortal Systems. When the stuff was re-purposed, recast into implements of the forge, they proved to be very good at absorbing magic and thus capable of transferring them as enchantments to armor and other items of the forge. The side effect all of this is that the forge got denser, sinking a little bit every year. Named the Dragons Anchor, today, it is a 1,000' under the city, accessed by great elevators and a canal system to move magma through the forge.
