The Demons Ladder is a great canyon of the subterranean area Vul Sahsir. In the Demon Spawn War (8972 GE - 9493 GE), this canyon was the northern invasion route for the demon armies under Orcus. There journey began after leaving the rift at Ghak. They then either went north to the Demon Ladder and then climbed upwards to the surface, or they went east to two other canyons closer to Ghak. The Demon Ladder was a much longer march. Orcus's strategy for using the Demons Ladder was to keep his armies under the cover of the subterranean realm, protecting them from the strafing runs of Bahamut's dragon soldiers.
