The Carodraks are sited in northwestern Azrik. The slopes of these mountains are covered in shiny black translucent glass. Some of these chunks of volcanic glass are as big as boulders. Called Carodrak Glass, late in the First Epoch when trade opened with other port cities, it became a lucrative export.
For centuries this area served as the heart of the Torgilm Confederacy (1475 - 1719). The people of the area's major settlement Ilfongrak were largey peaceful mountain people. They sought to build a civilization in the mercantile way.
Beneath the Carodraks is the largest source of iron on the continent. This area, reachable by dozens of mining shafts and tunnels is Zirâg-Tharam.
