Shade Farm is a term for areas, some as big as a moon, where high levels of necrotic energy and negative energy have coalesced, becoming shadow energy. These areas are haven to Shades and other shadowy creatures.
Some Shade Farms are shadowy, bleak places, devoid of life energy. In the Quara'tun System, the moon Deaths Kindle is perhaps the strongest of these. An area much weaker, yet dangerous to the living is Bal-Kriav's Shadow Rift. Any living creature that remains here for too long risks an Energy Exchange, losing their life energy for shadow energy, becoming a Shade or some other creature of the shadows.
