Lot 396, the first Hive Swarm, escaped the labs of Cha-ka on 12 Bloom 1512 HE. Dividing and multiplying quickly, bug swarms laid waste to the region around. In the next epoch, said region came to be known simply as Hive. At the time, the cradle of civilization for the region was Klak-tak. On the edges of this inhospitable rugged land were then, and still, verdant landscapes. Great holds, ancient city-states fell to the Hive Swarms, a hundred of them depopulating Cha-ka and the other Auhtai city-states bordering Klak-tak.
