Azure Burst Army
This crack army of Malacost is outfitted with elem-guard armor and ocillostroke energy weapons. These technologies were stolen by agents of the Shadow Sect and later sold to Malacost. A "mole" in Paradomea's XI Institute recovered the ocillostroke technology and spies recovered the secrets of making elem-guard from the Bloodbeards (c.f. Umahanbad).
Holy Armada of Malacost
The naval arm of Malacost consists of the combined navies of many large cities along the southern shores of the Lands of Purity. Some of the more notable fleets of the Holy Armada of Malacost:

The Milithian Harpoons patrol the Pearl Sea the fringes of the central island chains of the Buccaneer Archipelago. The Phanax Dragons are responsible for guarding the coasts of the Lands of Purity and the northern islands of the Buccaneer Archipelago. They frequently have naval skirmishes with the Knight Fleet.
8th Owl Brigade
The 8th Owl Brigade was formed in 688. Its ranks consisted of dwarven soldiers of Bokgruma. They battled the Black Tide in the Black Tide War (1465 - 1504)and then in the Athenian Crusade (1539 - 1551). When the nation of Malacost was established, the 8th Owl Bigade became part of her armed forces. The 8th Owl Brigade is an air wing with dozens of battle-trained giant owls. They are ridden into battle with dwarves armed with nets, lances, crossbows, and guns.
Slafknara Rangers
In the last days of the Black Tide War (1465 - 1504), the Farinteen Alliance was broken. Her defeated armies retreated east into the Slafknara Forest and surrounding highlands. The remnants of Farinteen's land armies became known as the Slafknara Rangers. They continued to fight the Black Tide in guerrilla fashion. In 1506, they and the Voldanwen forged a military pact, the Shields of Iraktharbhun.
