Crafted in the Lith-Crillion Era, the Eyes of Haud are magical eyeballs infused with the spirit of a great hero that hunted the Sands of Hell. This hero, born in Eydreid, former adventurer, was a master ranger and perhaps most strikingly, a 12' tall giant. Of the Knudmid, he roamed the sands, taking down problematic predators for a fee. With many close calls, he lost his vision twice, the first to a flesh-ripping sandstorm, then once in solo combat with a primordial sand worm. He went to the Arcaneum of Eydreid for a more permanent solution. An up and coming organization, trained in the arcane by Lith-Crillion instructors, they made a collection of magical eyeballs. With a special surgical device, a magical eye could be swapped with one of the subject's real eyes. The Eyes of Haud are those given to Haud, one for each quest he carried out for the Arcaneum of Eydreid.
The Eyes of Haud are limited in that only one can be "worn" at a time.
