Built by Durkoth enchanters of Horgon, these drums were made to rouse the spirit for war. Used a few times with mixed results, most agreed it was a mighty device, one used in great desperation, for turning the entire populace, woman, children and men into a war frenzied mob can be worse than capitulation.
In 1315, deep in the bowels of Limac-Nîr, the Drums of Horgon were discovered by a band of Sahuagin explorers. Ringed by ancient vault doors, they found the prophesied shrine of war. Some say they were barbarians, and without caution, beat the great drums, others say they were proselytizers of Ares, driven to make war. The sounding of the Drums of Horgon carried far out into the sea. All sentient creatures that heard the beat of the drums, felt an urge, sooner or later breaking, they entered the war frenzy. Continuing every day, few could resist the call of war. For the Sahuagin population of Limac-Nîr, males, females, and even children, went on the war path, attacking the ships and assailing the great harbors and fortifications of Paradomea City.
