Artery Rip is a +3 rapier of wounding and speed.

The pommel of this elegant rapier is made from a piece of ivory looted from Irastânâz. The hilt is made out of a single piece of Berusk. Artery Rip's blade was forged from the leg of a Hydrocur. The watery essence of the creature was magically petrified, then shaped like iron. The weapon was made by maleraunts serving under the minotaur Admiral Ghastern. Unfortunately, the ship carrying this gift was driven far of course. The ship carrying this weapon, the Luckless Spirit, was drawn into a Warp Whirl and thought lost.

A century later, the Sea Strider found itself in the same predicament as the Luckless Spirit. After being hit by a Warp Whirl, they found themselves on the shores of lake Fjorgeir. Luckily, the chest holding Artery Rip was still in the wreckage of the Luckless Spirit. This weapon with its Hydrocur sentience showed them the way out of the landlocked lake (c.f. Into the Sink).
