Tearberon is a clandestine agency sponsored by the Council of Nine. It was built from members that had served in Kal-Oni's Hulo Sect, a government spy agency.
Tearberon activities mostly involve espionage. They have been known to get extra money from extortion and the occasional contract assassination.
In 1771, agents of Tearberon searched the ruins of Ugidreth. In the ruins, they found old war plans of the Black Tide of Thasmudyan. The records revealed secret battle plans of the Black Tide against the Orchish Empire. Interesting enough, the two empires had a non-aggression pact during this time (c.f. Eye-Skull Pact). The plans revealed that during the Black Tide War (1465 - 1504), the leaders of the Black Tide attempted to bribe Surtur. They wanted him to activate the dormant fires of Typhalumus; which would have destroyed Gúluzgash.
