In the Year 544, a dozen Rúmil families became ex-pats. Tired of the rule by only a few families, rotating among themselves for centuries, the ex-pats gave up their citizenship. They went east out of the High Wood Country into the Tribe Steppes. They suffered under nightly Jara attacks until reaching the ruin of Marakellûth. This they rebuilt, with House Ithendelt, establishing a new kingdom.
Two and half centuries later, in 799, Ithendelt abandoned Marakellûth to the Jara. The new capital became the coastal city of Séregon.
In 905, Queen Nessa Ithendelt died, leaving the kingdom without a heir. The result was the Ithendelt Schism (905 - 912). This seven year civil war ended on 1 Brightstar 912 with the defeat of House Glorfindel. Exiled, they went west across the Core Sea becoming the Gilraen Oligarchy. The victors, House Ithengee, became the Ithengee Monarchy.
