In the Demon Spawn War (8972 GE - 9493 GE), the Vine Furies was an army under a Covenant general named Geryon. When Geryon became a Fallen Angel, his charges were for a time leaderless. In the Northern Hordelands, forced on the defensive, then making a fighting retreating, Geryon's 92nd, the Vine Furies found themselves surrounded. The survivors of this unit, numbering several hundred, were sent in chains to the Primordial Storm, then to Yeenoghu's realm. On Ferri'lith, a world of the Abyss, they were warped and corrupted, becoming the first bar-lgura.
