SÛREG

Sûreg is located on the island of Nurnas-Kam. It is built into the seaward face of mount Othidyus. This dead volcano had its south face blown away during a eruption many thousands of years ago. In this great opening is a sheltered harbor. In the First Epoch, Dromite pirates started using this area as a base.

In 724, Sûreg became a permanent holding with families, retired sailors, and pirates. For nearly a thousand years, the town was home to pirates. Most of the wealth of the town came from pirating and some mercenary work. The pirates of Sureg raided the settlements of Hells Womb, Lands of Purity and other islands of the Buccaneer Archipelago.

In 1704 the empire Paradomea attacked and captured the town and the island. Their goal was to establish a strong holding in the Buccaneer Archipelago and stop some of the pirating of commerce coming to and leaving Paradomea City.

Sûreg is a melting pot of races, reflecting the coastal lands around it. The largest groups are the Tragarans, followed by the Dromites and the Deep Bred.
