Silnir

Silnar is the capital of a petty fire giant kingdom under Jarl Saerthjar (c.f. Hlimi Kingdoms).

Silnar stretches from a 400' canyon wall facing the Tulerran river all the way to the volcano Hottild. In the Horgon Era, its population was around 40,000 which filled all the buildings along this stretch of eight miles from canyon wall to the volcano. Silnar has a harbor on the Tulerran. The harbor area from the canyon above is accessed by tunnels, ramps, and lifts.

Silnar's importance in the Hofthorm empire came to head in the second great war with their southern enemies, the rival Titan Empire Glangveif. Hofthorm's first use of war ships began here with a fledgling navy of rafts built to ferry troops and supplies south towards Ugradrath. In the conflicts after this war, these vessels advanced with those of offensive nature like galleys and cogs. Glangveif never developed a navy, so for the near entirety of their conflicts Hofthorm had supremacy of the Core Sea.
