Galir-Khizad in an Underdark city of the continent Karterus. It was founded by Mîmêk that were part of a failed coup in Andigimok; an empire far away past a ocean and beneath Brucrumus's Clans region. In 946 LE, they retreated into Baruk-Gind, travelled along the Earth Seam for several months before exiting at Baruk-Khâl. Now a continent and ocean away from Andigimok, they went southwest into Fangath founding several failed settlements along the way before founding a permanent home at Galir-Khizad.
In 2796 LE, Galir-Khizad was defeated by the rival city-state Garâl-Thûru. Under the kingdom of Vîlnên, the people of Galir-Khizad became second-class citizens with the more unruly put into labor camps.
In the Galir-Khizad Uprising (461 HE - 464 HE), the slaves gained their freedom, seizing half of Vîlnên's territory. The deep gnomes of Vîlnên abandoned Galir-Khizad to their enemies.
In 488 HE, with the establishment of the kingdom of Taklumlode, Galir-Khizad became its capital.
